Ear training is an essential part of any musician’s training, regardless of genre. Learn to play what you hear using pedagogically sequenced “call and response” exercises specially designed for this course. Participants train their ears to “observe” in greater detail. Using group exercises and small group breakout rooms, students use games and activities guided by the instructor’s specific parameters, allowing for the regular aural feedback required for efficient ear-training improvement. Improve your “ear-to-hand coordination” in all keys! Prerequisites: ability to play all 12 major scales on your instrument from memory. Open to all instrumentalists. Instructor: Dave Len Scott Dave Len Scott has performed with the San Francisco Symphony and has recorded with the Honolulu Symphony, Rosemary Clooney, and Big Kahuna and the Copa Cat Pack.
