Online Yogic Breathing / Pranayam Workshop in Buffalo Grove
Pranayam is conscious control of inhalation, retention and exhalation of breath. Practice breath awareness in this workshop with Vidya Nahar, ERYT-500. Youll learn the importance of breathing in yogic healing system, 3 connections of your breath, 7 qualities of a good breath, and 11 breathing / pranayam techniques. Youll discover that you can actually alter the state of mind and body through right kind of breathing. Regular practice of Pranayam helps prevent frequent sinus infections, runny / blocked noses and helps with relaxation. This workshop qualifies for three hours of continuing education requirements for Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT and ERYT) of Yoga Alliance. Yogic Breathing / Pranayam workshop will be held in two parts - Theory and Practice. Both are essential for your correct understanding of the subject matter. Theory workshop (Sunday, January 17, 2021, 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST) is a pre-requisite for the Practice workshop. Theory workshop covers the importance, 3 connections, & 7 qualities of a good breath. Practice workshop (Sunday, January 24, 2021, 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST) covers the 11 breathing techniques. You may take the Practice workshop alone, if you have taken the Theory workshop at VYAYAM before. You may take just the Practice workshop, if you have taken the Theory workshop before, and if you want to learn / reinforce your breathing techniques practice.
