Summer School Holidays at Museums Victoria
11 Nicholson Street
It’s all happening at Museums Victoria these summer school holidays! As well as special school holiday events at each venue, the museums’ feature exhibitions are running related talks, tours and activities during the summer break. See Melbourne Museum’s Inside Out exhibition (for ages 13+), the Immigration Museum’s Brit-packed Bedroom Karaoke sessions, and Scienceworks’ Ground Up: Building Big Ideas, Together, Scienceworks has also added extra sessions of its Planetarium Shows, Lightning Room Shows, guided walks through its vast Collection Store, and Pumping Station tours. There’s a range of offers for visitors to Melbourne Museum. Located in the entrance to Bunjilaka for half of the holidays, there will be story-telling and Bunjils Gliders. In the fourth week of the holidays, there will be a special artist residency with David Booth from Ghost Patrol. Join Scienceworks these holidays for Superhero Science activities and a special Amphitheatre show Boom! Bap! How? or enter the realms of childrens games and teenage fandom from the British youthquake era and beyond at Immigration Museum. In the Immigration Museum courtyard you will be able to pick up a suitcase and head outside to play old favourites such as hop scotch and quoits or find our pop-up teen bedroom and belt out a karaoke in homage to the British pop idols from yesteryear and today.
